Mi Casa has entered into a joint venture with DVD producers Mirage Productions, and formed dBHD Systems. dBHD provides full HD production and post-production capability including the new Canon XLH1 camera and lighting package. dBHD has just wrapped shooting on its first production: the short film ?Beach Run? In HD.

Brant Biles wins the 2005 SURROUND MUSIC AWARDS, MOST ADVENTUROUS MIX for "IN SEARCH OF; N.E.R.D". (Virgin Records/DTS), at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills Ca. on December 15, 2005. The fourth annual SMA's are presented by surround pioneers DTS.

The X-10T at Mi Casa is a floor standing version of the standard Meyer X-10 cabinet. It was designed by Bob Hodas specifically for Mastering/Home Theater/Audiophile applications. The filter sets are also highly modified version of the Meyer CP-10S and the entire system is connected with MIT cable. See picture in gallery.

Mi Casa has completed a major upgrade of all of its studios with the new SADiE PCM-H64 multichannel digital audio work station. Each system is equipped with a full array of the latest Cedar multi-channel restoration and mastering tools. The systems are all networked together, providing seamless communication between the three studios, which will effect a dramatic increase in efficiency and productivity.

Brant Biles masters the new Slayer DVD in 5.1 Surround and 2.0. The DVD was directed by Dean Karr and produced by Arthur Gorson for the Mine LLC/Universal.

John Kurlander, recording engineer for the original film score for "Lord of the Rings", was in Studio A with Brant Biles and Holger Thiele working on HOWARD SHORE: A COMPOSERS JOURNEY, a Concert performance of the score of the Lord Of The Rings with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and Choir. These wonderful speakers are hand-built in Germany and are a welcome addition to Studio B. Studio C: New Genelec Model 1030A Monitoring System. These speakers are a major upgrade to Studio C's capabilities.
